Sacramento Local Conservation Corps

OUR PROGRAM

The SLCC is a non-profit organization serving Sacramento's young adults. The SLCC was established in 1984 by the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce to provide an opportunity for educational achievement and paid work experience.

Emphasis is placed on work ethics, citizenship, interpersonal communication, teamwork, and other job training skills.

The SLCC is funded by a variety of state and local government agencies, foundations, corporate grants, sponsorships and private donations for work projects. The SLCC Board of Directors is comprised of volunteer community leaders and business professionals. The SLCC corpsmembers are representatives of our diverse community and most participants are economically, educationally, and socially challenged.
