The
SRCC is a non-profit organization serving
Sacramento's young adults. The SRCC was established
in
1984
by the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce
to provide an opportunity for educational
achievement
and paid work experience.
Emphasis
is placed on work ethics, citizenship, interpersonal
communication, teamwork, and other job training
skills.
The mission of the SRCC is to enrich the lives of young adults by providing a development program integrating education, job skills training and work experience on conservation projects and service opportunities that benefit the region and our corps members.

The
SRCC is funded by a variety of state and local
government agencies, foundations, corporate
grants, sponsorships and private donations for
work projects. The SRCC Board of Directors is
comprised of volunteer community leaders and
business professionals. The SRCC corpsmembers
are representatives of our diverse community
and most participants are economically, educationally,
and socially challenged.
